AGRICLINICS AND AGRIBUSINESS CENTRE SCHEME

 

Handholding Guidelines

 

Under the scheme, all the nodal officers shall assist the trained agripreneurs in the field to set up Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres through hand holding facility for a period of one year from the date of completion of training. For the purpose, an amount of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) per candidate will be provided for candidates who set up of agri-clinic and Agri-Business Centers while for the rest of trainees(.) Rs 2,500/- per participant would be released along with the second installment of the training fund. Additional Rs 2,500/- participant would be released as and when success stories are reported.  Trained Agripreneurs are requested to contact their respective nodal officers for any assistance. The handholding facility is extended to the following area/ activities :

 

1.              The money allotted for handholding after completion of for a batch shall be utilized for the purpose of providing handholding facility to the Agripreneurs passed out from the institute in respective batch only.

 

2.              The hand holding facility shall be provided for  one year after completion of training.

 

 

3.              Nodal Officer will co-ordinate the handholding activities and he shall be responsible for the results.

 

4.              Regular (at least monthly) contact must be maintained with Agripreneurs in field through post / phone / fax / e-mail / visit and progress will be documented and reported to AAC Cell,  MANAGE.

 

 

5.              Hand holding activities also include the following areas.

 

a).    Helping the Agripreneurs to obtain the license for input trade.

 

b).    Establishing rapport between service provides i.e. Agripreneurs and clients   i.e. farmers / farmers organizations / co-operatives.

 

c).    Assisting the Agripreneurs to start the enterprise with out the loan or with his / her own investment.

 

d).    Facilitating loan sanction from the bank to the Agripreneurs by establishing rapport between Agripreneurs and Banker / NABARD.

 

e).    Helping the Agripreneurs in procuring technology / software / machinery.

 

f).    Liaison between Agripreneurs and state government, central government departments to pass on the benefits of other programmes to Agripreneurs.

 

g).    Establishing network between agribusiness companies, NGO’s and Agripreneurs for business / service support.

 

 

h).    Motivating the Agripreneurs to take up innovative projects and assisting them in implementation.

 

i).    Networking technology generators i.e. agriculture Universities / ICAR organizations with Agripreneurs.

 

j).    Networking with IT companies in Agriculture field with Agripreneurs.

 

k).    Promoting cyber extension.

 

l).    Promoting networking among Agripreneurs (organization of trained Agripreneurs).

 

m).   Convening Agripreneurs meet to discuss the progress and problems.

 

n).    Organizing institute level interface between Agripreneurs, bankers, agribusiness companies, NGO’s, State Government departments for handholding mechanism.

 

o).    Organizing similar interface meetings at state level in co-ordination with other  nodal officers of the state.

 

p).   Circulation of Books / CD’s / Literature which leads to establishment of enterprises.

 

6.              Handholding efficiency would be measured in terms of established enterprises from the Agripreneurs.

 

7.              Monthly progress reports and quarterly financial reports shall be sent to AAC Cell, MANAGE.
