hello Agripreneurs,
I am also planning to suggest to my customers about growing medicinal and
aromatic plants in our area for eg. citronella grass,anotova,asvagandha,safed musli so and so .
Basically our area comes under the northern dry zone of Karnataka with an avg rains
of 650mm in summer for 4 months we go through a high temp up to 45 degree Celsius and we are having light alluvial to deep black
soil pattern with limited water resource.
If you are able to suggest me about the suitable crops for my area ,its cost of
cultivation, availability of seedling materials and above all its marketing and returns .than it is easy for me to convince my
clients.

kufri some drought resistant varieties b'cause north India is under severe drought water table has gone
down ,since you are in irrigation tell me about irrigation in potato fields that will be of judicious
use of water{potato is grown on ridges}

secondly as far as irrigation is concerned the ideal would be drip irrigation but the same will cost about 50,000 /acre. otherwise
I can suggest you mini plastic sprinkler of m/s NAAN Israel which can be made portable and with 25,000 y ou can start for first acre and then for every
additional acre you have to spend 12,000.if you send me detail of area and type of soil , water availability, its
source, power availability ( in hours) then I can suggest you more precisely, though the best would be physical survey.
